Fantasy & Pin-Up Artist

Fantasy & Pin-Up Artist

At a very young age Reggie began his venture into art.  Age the age of 6 he said .\.. I just wanted a picture of Batman...so he drew it. After that, comic books inspired him as they have so many artists. A school teacher, Mr. Peck, encouraged him to start painting after noticing his artistic ability with his pencil art. After that he began painting & was also helped & encouraged by his grandmother & his high school art teacher Mr. Boyd. Although comics drove his inspiration for years, in college he was given some pages from a book called Mirage by Boris Vallejo. After seeing a painting Vallejo did of a Triton mermaid his direction switched to Fantasy. Another influence Reggie encountered was the book Let Them Eat Cheesecake by Olivia De Berardinis. Oilvia's pin-up artwork inspired his creativity in his pin-up art . Reggie said even though he finds inspiration from many artists & buys alot of their books to show support, he doesn't try to imitate any of their styles too much. He believes he takes inspiration from everyone to make him a better artist . In 2010 Reggie took a break from his artistic side of his life to be a bar owner. In 2014 he returned to his artistic roots & is now working on new paintings, as well as working on creating his 1st self published artbook Genesis, due out later in 2015.
